Hey! My name is Molly Phair and I am a momma of 4, a lover of music, basketball, books, good food, my puppy Lucy AND I am a recovering sugar junky and SIBO sufferer. I am ALSO a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a 21 Day Sugar Detox Coach!

In the practice where I work, I have had the opportunity to help MANY men and women find optimal health through different nutritional and lifestyle programs. Right now I am wrapping up our current 21 Day Sugar Detox program where we we use a whole foods, gentle approach to getting off the sugar/carb roller coaster. It is SUCH a great program. So what is keto?

The ketogenic diet is a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate diet that shifts your body into using your fat stores as it’s main source of fuel over glucose-or sugar. Sugar is a very quick burning fuel source and as such-it is depleted quickly and our body keeps begging for MORE SUGAR!! However, when we become fat adapted and use fat for our fuel-it is a much slower burning fuel source and can sustain us longer without being on a blood sugar roller coaster or suffer from being HANGRY or constantly cravings sugars and carbs for energy. Can I get an AMEN?

Who would benefit from trying keto?

The therapeutic benefits of a Ketogenic diet are vast. The Ketogenic diet is great for sustainable weight loss, balancing blood sugar and reversing insulin resistance. It is neurologically healing (fat is the brains preferred source of fuel) so mental clarity increases while brain fog is eliminated. It decreases inflammation in the body (inflammation is the root of all disease). Being ketogenic can also increase levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and lower Tryglyceride levels in the blood which is good for heart health. In addition, this way of eating has been shown in many studies to positively affect appetite, mood, energy and physical/exercise performance.

How will the keto quickstart program work?

This will be a 5-week program that begins on March 4th, 2019 and runs through April 7th.

Week 1 will be PREP WEEK as we get ready for the 4-weeks of Keto. I will walk you thru the prep steps so you feel confident on day 1.
